Advertising Policy
Effective date: September 13, 2026
Par’d Up is supported by a small amount of advertising. This policy explains how that works, what advertisers can and cannot do, and how your data is handled.
First-party ads only
- All advertising on Par’d Up is first-party: campaigns are reviewed, approved, and served by Par’d Up itself for golf-relevant advertisers such as courses, instructors, and equipment brands.
- Ads appear as a card in the Home feed and are clearly labeled “Sponsored.”
No third-party ad networks
The Par’d Up app and website contain no third-party advertising SDKs, ad exchanges, or programmatic ad networks. No advertiser receives your personal information; we report only total view and tap counts.
No behavioral targeting
- We do not choose which ad you see based on your activity, interests, or history. This applies to every user, adult or teen.
- We do not build advertising profiles of anyone, and we do not sell or share personal information.
Suitable for teens
Golfers aged 13–17 use Par’d Up, and any golfer may see a sponsored card. Every campaign must therefore be suitable for a 13+ audience.
Prohibited ad categories
The following are never accepted:
- Gambling or betting of any kind, including sportsbooks, casinos, and fantasy-for-cash.
- Alcohol.
- Tobacco, nicotine, or vaping products.
- Drugs and controlled substances.
- Weapons.
- Adult or sexual content, and dating services.
- Predatory financial products (payday loans, get-rich-quick schemes, unvetted crypto offerings).
- Unsafe challenges or content encouraging dangerous behavior.
- Anything unlawful, deceptive, or inconsistent with our Community Guidelines.
Ad review process
- Every campaign and every ad is reviewed and approved by a Par’d Up admin before it can run.
- Approvals, rejections, pauses, and edits are recorded in an internal audit log.
- If an ad looks wrong to you, tell us through our contact form or at pardupgolf@gmail.com. We re-review reported ads and pause them if in doubt.
Advertising data
- When a sponsored card is shown or tapped, we record the campaign, ad, placement, time, and your user ID so we can count views and taps.
- These records are never sold. If you delete your account, your user ID is removed from them.
- See the Privacy Policy for more, and Do Not Sell or Share for opt-out rights.
